Nothing here is automatic. That is deliberate — it is the only way the month-end figure includes the cash, the cheques and what other people in the house paid.

Saving a snapshot locks this month into your history. Two snapshots are enough for your lifestyle inflation index to start working.
Figures shown are your own entries and simple arithmetic on them. Projections assume constant rates and are illustrations, not forecasts. This tool provides financial education and planning support, not personalised advice, and is not registered with SEBI, IRDAI or the RBI.
Upload a statement for everything that moved through your bank, then add the cash and cheque payments separately. Most households find the surprises are in the second part.
Use the statement PDF from your bank's email or net banking (password-protected ones work too: you'll be asked for the password), or its Excel/CSV download. Each payment is filed under its own month; money coming in, like salary, is left out.
Categorisation uses keyword rules and gets some entries wrong. Review before drawing conclusions, and never use this output as a tax record.
Next: see how the month compares against what you planned.
Monthly bills are easy to remember. The annual ones — school fees, insurance premiums, property tax, vehicle insurance — break budgets, because they arrive as a single large number in a month planned like any other.
Set an amount and a date. The tool works backwards to the monthly contribution needed, and shows what changes if you raise it each year in line with your salary.
Not sure a target is realistic? Test it against different growth and return assumptions first.
Income, spending and accumulated savings modelled year by year on assumptions you set. Use this to compare choices — not to predict a number.

Each saved snapshot becomes a row here. From the second one onward you get trends — savings rate, spending growth, and your lifestyle inflation index.

Clean enough to put in front of your CA, a bank manager considering a loan, or your spouse at the kitchen table.
Each report carries the plan, what was recorded against it, the four checks, your goals and annual costs. The report below is what downloads.

The maid, the milk vendor, society maintenance, a cash medical bill — anything that never touched a bank account.

Something that arrives once or twice a year rather than every month.
Rename it, describe it, and list what goes into it. The plan is the total of its budgets.
